Preliminary remark:
This little story is the result of an exercise of the Chris de Burgh internet mailing list to write a story just from the lines of the song of Chris de Burgh (Yes I know - sometimes fans have silly ideas).
But -  Enjoy it!

Some Things Never Change
( R. O'Ghilvy)

Suddenly love takes me away; shows me a world I have never seen. Other lovers laid me down, took my breath away and in the many ways of loving they are looking for a little romance.

I am lost in love looking at her face. With her long black hair and her eyes of fire and a body to drive man crazy make me think we're just a moment in time. I have never had such a feeling, I have been blind, and it's with you that I am going to stay. We are riding on a rainbow; we are flying free. Now the night is getting wild minute by minute she became a part of me. We were moving from a spark to a flame. There is no borderline…

My girl wakes is her bad of night. She says she's having the strangest dreams: "Up on the hill I see it begin: A lovely girl is coming down to give har hand upon her wedding day."
And the she said: "So come up close and put your sweet hand in mine. You are the nearest thing I have seen to paradise. It doesn't really matter if it's your place or mine. Anything that takes your fancy, you can have for free. Have no fear; I'll tell you what goes on here. Come to my door – meet me at midnight – I can't wait anymore. And after midnight it's the classical dilemma between the head and the heart. Oh, darling, tonight I wan't to work it out. I wan't it and I'll show you I still believe in you and me, tonight!
You said that I never listen, that I just don't seem to care. I can hardly believe it's you! I've got a feeling in my heart and nothing ever happens round here. A woman's heart is filled with passion. I dream of your body and the things you do with your mouth and your lips."

And he laid her down in a field of golden corn and the sun was on his back. Every heart went boom – boom – boom. Just before the down at the pailing sky he heard a wild dog howl.
Scenes of soft deduction spinning through my head, watching her deduction as I lay grinning on my bed. She took my heart and without a word she tore it apart, ooh! She had the whiphand in ths situation. An now, my friend, at separate bedrooms we go to sleep.

And as we say goodbey I can heardly see for the tears in my eyes. It really can't be over! We've only just begun … I've been missing you … Oh, there's no point in staying. I gave the best of me, we're so right, we're skintight and when the morning comes she's gonna begging for more.
Well I don't mind, we made our choice – we said goodbye to it all.

I loved her to well and I just couln't tell. I cannot believe this has happened to me!

And now I am standing at the chocolate shelf and then a millions voices all around are singing inside: some things never change – you look beautiful…
